Description: A beautiful stepped rhomb of bright red rhodochrosite from the famous Sweet Home mine. No repairs or restorations are noted on this specimen which is uncommon for this locality. The Sweet Home mine was shuttered in 2004 with subsequent development of a lower adit “Detroit City” ceasing in 2024. This specimen is very representative of the original Sweet Home mine which set new standards of quality for the species.
