Size: 3.3x3.1x1.5 cm

Species: Rutile

Locality: Kivu, DR Congo

Description: A very unique habit. This specimen is drastically shortened along what would traditionally be the longest axis in the crystal making a unique saucer shape. There is some twinning although I am frankly stumped how to fully describe which twin law or combination of twin laws is present. A very interesting morphology from a very unusual locality.
