Description: A beautiful sharp well saturated pink manganoan smithsonite from Tsumeb. The luster is top notch and the piece is in fantastic condition. The bright salmon colored smithsonite is nicely offset by the gold colored pyrite matrix. These particular manganoan smithsonites were mined 1984-1985 and are much harder to find than the cobaltoan variety. A fantastic specimen if you collect contemporary classics.
