Size: 8.0x5.4x2.5cm
Species: Azurite on Malachite
Locality: Watercourse Pocket, Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Santa Cruz Municipality, Sonora, Mexico
Description: I am very proud to make this specimen available for the discriminating collector. Of all the species that the now closed Milpillas mine was known for, the most iconic was certainly azurite. The best specimens available from this mine were not just single azurite crystals, but rather plates of contrasting electric blue azurite and green malachite. Presented here is a fine specimen of azurite on malachite collected in 2015 from the Watercourse Pocket. The aesthetics on the specimen are simply fantastic. The azurites are sharp and lustrous. The contrasting green malachite really gives that specimen the extra pop in color. With the mine now officially being closed as of 2021 these specimens are sure to become a highly sought after worldwide classic.
Specimen comes with custom engraved base.
